Moving toward a goal
does not mean never losing your way,
but continuing forward, even while you wander.

그제야 알았다.
목표를 향해 간다는 것은
헤매지 않는 것이 아니라,
헤매면서도 끝내 나아가는 일이라는 것을.

I thought I had lost my way,
for I could no longer see what lay ahead.
I thought I would never make it,
for I felt there was nothing I could do.

길을 잃었다고 생각했다.
앞이 보이지 않았기에.
나는 안 될 거라 생각했다.
아무것도 할 수 없었기에.

결국 내가 찾던 길은
멀리 있는 것이 아니라,
깨어 있는 마음으로 내딛는
바로 이 한 걸음 안에 있었다.

In the end, the path I had been searching for
was never somewhere far away.
It was here, within this very step,
taken with an awakened heart.

汝等應自勤

如來唯導師

You yourselves must strive.

The Buddhas only point the way.

스스로 걸어가야 한다.

부처는 다만 길을 가리킬 뿐이다.
